JCC Maccabi Games celebrate 25th anniversary & Dayton is going to the party

This summer, the DJCC will participate in the JCC Maccabi Games in Houston.

Our delegation, which has been taking part in the Games for the past 15 years, will consist of five athletes, competing in tennis, swimming, bowling, dance and golf.  This summer, the Games will celebrate 25 years of meaningful Jewish experiences for thousands of Jewish teens around the world.

Building on the success of the past 25 years, we are confident that this will be another Gold Medal set of Games.

The JCC Maccabi Games is an Olympic-style sports event held in multiple communities each summer in North America and is the largest organized sports program for Jewish teens in the world.

In addition to sports, athletes experience home hospitality, help other people through community-service projects in Days of Caring and Sharing, get a taste of Israel at Hang Time, and meet Jewish teens from around the world.

The Games are co-sponsored by the Jewish Community Center Association of North America, Maccabi World Union, Maccabi Canada, and Maccabi USA/Sports for Israel. To learn more about the JCC Maccabi Games, go to www.jccmaccabigames.org.

Dayton is proud to participate in the Games, where today’s Jewish athletes are tomorrow’s Jewish leaders. For more information, e-mail Information@jfgd.net.
