Counterterrorism expert leads JCRC programs Feb. 8

Counterrorism programs

Prof. Amos N. Guiora, director of the Institute for Global Security Law and Policy at Case Western Reserve School of Law, will present two programs for the Jewish Community Relations Council on Thursday, Feb. 8. At 4 p.m., he will lead the discussion Global Perspectives on Counterterrorism in 101 Fawcett Hall at Wright State University. At 7:30 p.m., he will present Morality in Armed Conflict, at the Boonshoft CJCE. Guiora served in the Israel Defense Forces for 19 years, retiring at the rank of lieutenant colonel. He was invovled in the capture of the PLO weapons ship Karine A, the implementation of the Gaza-Jericho Agreement, the Israeli-Palestinian-Interim Agreement, and “safe passage” between the Gaza Strip and West Bank.
