Jennifer Lapine Aga has accepted a position as the foreign in-house attorney with Hitachi. This position will require her to travel to various countries to handle acquisitions, mergers, and contract negotiations. She and her husband, Hide, will move back to Japan when her contract with Toyota is up. They currently reside in San Francisco. Not to be outdone by her older sister, Nikki Lapine announced her engagement to Jonathan Carrico. Upon graduation from Ohio State in August, Nikki accepted a position as the manager of a First Watch restaurant in Upper Arlington. Jody Lapine is proud of her daughters but says “they could not have achieved these goals without the support, encouragement, and generosity of Temple Israel, the Jewish Federation, and Hillel Academy.”
“Here we go again…” Julie Kantor Weiss brags about her dad, Mel Weiss. At 86 years old, the “Amazing Golfer Dude” recently shot a hole-in-one in Florida on a tough hole over water. Not to mention that this is his second one in the span of his lifetime. Keep swingin’, Mel!
On Feb. 3, my very own grandmother, Carmen Appel, celebrated her 105th birthday surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mazel tov, GiGi!
