Jewish genealogy programs April 27, May 14
Miami Valley Jewish Genealogy & History, a project of the Jewish Federation, will cohost two programs to help Jewish genealogy researchers at all levels.
In partnership with the newly revived Greater Cincinnati Jewish Genealogical Society, Miami Valley JG&H will cosponsor its inaugural event, Ancestry Meets AI: Tracing Your Roots Using the Latest Hi-Tech Tools, with MyHeritage Chief Genealogist Officer Daniel Horowitz, 7 p.m., Monday, April 27 at Adath Israel Congregation in Cincinnati.

Based in Or Yehuda, Israel, Horowitz will be in Cincinnati for the 2026 Ohio Genealogical Society Conference, April 29-May 2. Adath Israel is located at 3201 E. Galbraith Road, Amberley. RSVP for the free program to Sonny Saeks at ssaeks@icloud.com.
At 6 p.m., Thursday, May 14, Miami Valley JG&H will partner with Dayton Metro Library for Finding Your Jewish Roots: An Introduction to Jewish Genealogy, at the Kettering-Moraine Branch.
In conjunction with Jewish American Heritage Month, DML Genealogy Librarian Lori Rotterman and JG&H Project Director Marshall Weiss will share resources they have to help researchers overcome challenges.
