Holocaust writing & art contest for students

The Max May and Lydia May Memorial Holocaust Art and Writing Contest is now accepting submissions for 2021.

In commemoration of the 76th anniversary of the liberation of concentration camps and death camps in Europe, this year’s theme is: How Holocaust study can help us reduce bullying, prejudice, and hatred.

The annual contest is named after the grandparents of Renate Frydman, director of the Dayton Holocaust Resource Center.

Students in grades five through 12 who attend public, parochial, or home school in the Miami Valley are eligible to enter.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, March 19. For details and an entry form, click here.
