League of Women Voters to hold interfaith panel on DEI at UD Fitz Center Aug. 13

The League of Women Voters of the Greater Dayton Area’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee will host an interfaith panel discussion, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: A Religious Perspective, at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 13 at the University of Dayton’s Fitz Center.

Panelists include Pastor Gerald A. Cooper of Wayman Chapel A.M.E. Church, Interim Pastor Michelle L. Dixon of Summit Christian Church, Beth Abraham Synagogue congregant and ADL regional board member Samuel Dorf, the Rev. Kellie Kelly of Miami Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, Imam Usama Rehman of the Dayton Fazl-i-Umar Mosque, and the Rev. Adam Wirrig of St. John’s United Church of Christ.

Moderating the panel will be Natalie Hudson, executive director of UD’s Human Rights Center. Panelists will be asked to discuss their personal experiences within their religious communities regarding DEI.

UD’s Fitz Center is located at 1401 S. Main St., Dayton. The program is free and open to the public. Registration is requested at admin@lwvdayton.org.
