About our cover art, July 2010 issue

Jewish Federation Centennial

In 2009, the Jewish Federation selected a special logo (inset) to commemorate its centennial of service to the community. The hope was that the image would illustrate Federation’s past, present and future. The Federation also wanted to show the variety of people across our community who support, volunteer for and use the Federation’s programs and services. For this issue celebrating the Federation at 100, we thought it would be fun to bring this logo to life, with people from across our Jewish community.

In the image (L to R): Melissa Frydman (DJCC Children’s Theatre & BBYO), Dr. Stuart Weprin (immediate past United Jewish Campaign chair), Judy Abromowitz (Federation Centennial co-chair & Federation V.P.), Rachel (DJCC & J-YAD) and Chava Gilbert, Irv Zipperstein (past Federation president), Joe Bettman (past Federation president), Ze’ev Hernandez (DJCC Children’s Theatre, Camp Shalom, Hillel Academy), Dr. David Novick (Partnership With Israel Emergency Medical Response Group).
